Inspiration

Today the Wasatch 100 finish line was at the Homestead. I loved watching the runners come in. Talk about inspiration, a 100 mile run through rugged terrain. Most runners had been running for over 24-32 hours! I loved hearing the crowd cheer as each runner came in. I loved that the cheers were louder as even the last few runners came in. What an accomplishment!
Would I consider doing it? I do not think so, but it does encourage me to keep running and to keep pushing my own personal records and distances.

MUGZIE

It was a late night, all the excitement of a new dog got the children a little hyper. I am not sure who was more excited the kids or the dogs.

MUGZ AND PUGZ

What were we thinking!

Pugsely has be a little hyper since he does not have Duke to play with anymore. We decided to look around for another dog, so he would have someone to play with. Brain was looking at KSL.com and found a cute little 1 year old pug named Mugzie. We drove up to Ogden and got her. She is a cute little dog.

RyAnne is especially happy to have another girl in the house

First day of school!!!

Wyatt has never been much of a morning person. I stressed to him the idea that he would have to start getting up early so that he was not late for school. He was up about 6Am because he did not want to be late for the first day. Of course he also woke his sister up. RyAnne was so tired this afternoon that shes fell asleep watching Dora.

Wyatt waiting for the bell to ring outside his school

Wyatt going into Senora Levitt's classroom on his first day of first grade.

When asked how school went Wyatt like Senora Levitt. Wyatt said, "she was nice and that she let them play some games. He did not like Mrs. Bell.

When we got home from dropping Wyatt off at school. RyAnne looked at me and said "Who is going to play with me?" She really missed Wyatt, she was bored being home with just Mom.

1st grade! Really!

Am I ready for this? Kindergarten was no big deal but 1st grade is for big kids and I can not believe that Wyatt is a big kid!

I also just realized how hard it is going to be working every Saturday. Before it was no big deal, working Saturday. I got to be home with the kids all day on my day off. It did not matter what day I had off. Wyatt will be in school all day on my day off. I will miss him. I think it will be weird being home all day with out him. On Saturday his day off I will be at work:( Wyatt will be without me more than he will be with me:( I know that I have done everything I can to teach him right and wrong. Now it will be on his shoulders to show me if he actually listened.

Tonight the school had an open house and we got to go and meet Wyatt's teachers. He will be in a dual immersion program. All morning he will be in a Spanish classroom. All instruction will be in Spanish. I am glad that he is going to have this opportunity. It is really the fastest and best way to learn Spanish. I am also glad that I have learned so much Spanish at work! I be able to halp him with his homework!

I will post pictures of Wyatt's big day tomorrow!

The Parkway

I found a great way to get my exercise in and spend time with the family at the same time. Brian wanted to take the kids to Provo river park way. I did not want to go because I am training for a 1/2 marathon and I wanted to run. We decided to have Wyatt ride his bike. Wyatt rode his bike and I ran! Wyatt kept me at a good pace. I know he would have loved to go a little faster but he stayed with me the whole time. It also gave us a good chance to talk and just spend time together. RyAnne is still on training wheels so Brian stayed back with her. She did great, she made it to Bridal viel fall about 5 miles round trip. Wyatt and I made it to Nun's park 6 miles round trip in less than an hour. Pretty good (we stopped to look at the waterfall and to get a drink)! Maybe we will go back again this week!
